This piece grew from bringing together fragments of different moments, images collected over time and reimagined as one place. Rather than depicting a specific location, the painting became a meeting point, where land, water, and sky could merge into something imagined yet familiar.
I was drawn to the tension between stillness and movement: the calm of the horizon against the constant flow of water spilling forward. The waterfall acts as a threshold, pulling the eye downward while the sunset holds the space open and quiet. Through layered brushwork and softened forms, the landscape becomes less about accuracy and more about feeling—an atmosphere shaped by memory, observation, and intuition.
The work invites a slow gaze, allowing the viewer to drift between elements, as if standing at the edge of a place that exists somewhere between reality and recall.
