There’s something quietly compelling about unfinished work—the sense that it still breathes, still shifts, still holds the energy of its own becoming. In this fountain pen and ink study of water ripples, that feeling lingers in every unfilled space and broken line. The ink doesn’t try to resolve the surface completely; instead, it suggests movement, letting the eye wander and complete what the hand chose to leave open.
The ripples themselves feel less like a fixed image and more like a moment caught mid-transition—expanding, dissolving, reforming. Working with a fountain pen heightens that immediacy: each mark is deliberate yet fluid, impossible to fully control, mirroring the unpredictability of water itself. There’s no going back to erase, only a quiet dialogue between intention and accident.
